I’m socked.

The past five weeks have Not Been Fun. I’ve been neck-deep in essays, assignments, presentations and exams. Just two left to go and I’m finally finished.
Obviously because of this, my knitting (and blogging, and socialising and TV watching) has been put on the back-burner. Well, slightly anyway. I’m still knitting almost every day, just not for as long or as complicated projects.
I finished knitting my hand-dyed socks, and I’m really happy with how the turned out. I wore them yesterday, and they were very nice! I actually got my feet wet in the rain, but it seemed as though my socks either stopped my toes getting wet or weren’t that wet themselves? I’ll have to wear them more often in the rain and see if they really are slightly more waterproof than shop-socks.

I used the afterthought heel for the first time with this project, it’s definitely my favourite heel! Though I do like the process of actually turning the heel.Image

I can’t wait for the summer to start so I can have more time to hand-dye yarn, it’s way more exciting than regular knitting! I also began to knit for Christmas and made this little stocking for the Christmas tree:
